Fundraisers planned by community groups to benefit Children’s Miracle Network are a vital source of funds for Shands Children’s Hospital. If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser, please review the fundraising guidelines below and fill out our application. We even have some ideas to help get you started – just let us know!

Fundraising Guidelines

• All fundraising events for Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Children’s Hospital require specific, written approval from Children’s Miracle Network in advance. Public announcements or promotions of the event must not be made until written approval for the event is received.
• Events should reflect the appropriate image for the Children’s Miracle Network and Shands Children’s Hospital.  All uses of the Trademarks shall be of high quality, professional, uplifting and shall reflect the mission of Children’s Miracle Network. Sponsor must obtain permission to use the Children’s Miracle Network trademark prior to any use. The Trademarks shall not be altered or modified in any manner whatsoever. Children’s Miracle Network must review all promotional materials before use.
• Fundraising events must comply with relevant laws, including all State and Federal laws.  No Sponsor may conduct drawing unless it is a charitable organization and it meets the requirements of the Florida (FL) Statute 849.0935
• Children’s Miracle Network shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Sponsor’s event.  Sponsor shall be responsible for the procurement and sale of any items during the event.
• Sponsor is not an agent of Children’s Miracle Network. Sponsor is not an employee, joint venturer or partner of Children’s Miracle Network for state or federal tax purposes, workman's compensation, or any other purpose.
• Sponsor will indemnify and hold Children’s Miracle Network free from any and all claims and liability which may arise out of any activities of Sponsor, from any acts or omissions of its agents, volunteers or employees, or from any claim by it or anyone else relating to the quality, performance or failure to perform during the specified time period of the Sponsor’s event.
• Sponsor will furnish liability insurance for all activities. Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Children’s Hospital shall be named as additional insured on all liability insurance policies carried by a Sponsor. 
• Children’s Miracle Network and Shands does not support the distribution, sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages as part of the fundraising activities for its related events. 
• If circumstances warrant, Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Children’s Hospital may at any time through any of its senior administrators cancel the event, or opt out of association with the event. The University of Florida, Shands HealthCare and its facilities and hospitals will incur no liability for any such cancellations.
• Children’s Miracle Network agrees to promote the event, when appropriate, through exposure at existing events, printed materials and on the shandskids.org Web site.
• A representative may be able to attend your fundraising event. To inquire about Shands Children’s Hospital employee representation, please call 800-284-6472 as early as possible, no later than three weeks prior to the event.
• Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Children’s Hospital will serve as your best resource for assistance with the policy herein discussed.  Please contact the local Children’s Miracle Network office at Shands Children’s Hospital, not the Children’s Miracle Network national office in Salt Lake City, for assistance, guidance and approval regarding this event.
