Shands for Kids Stories

Patients at Shands Children’s Hospital at AGH recently received a special visit. Miss Thomasville Leigh Anne Strickland, joined patients and families for the afternoon signing autographs. Leigh Anne’s visit also coincided with a tour of the hospital for the Thomasville, GA RE/MAX agents.


Leigh Anne will compete for her next title, Miss Georgia 2007, at the end of June. She will showcase dance as her talent. Leigh Anne toured Shands as a part of the new partnership between the Miss America system and Children’s Miracle Network. Miss America has taken on the national platform of Children’s Miracle Network. Through this exciting partnership titleholders from the local level all the way to Miss America will be joining the efforts of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals by visiting patients and attending events.

Leigh Anne is photographed with agents from RE/MAX, a national corporate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network. The tour helped both groups learn more about how their efforts are making miracles happen for patients treated at Shands Children’s Hospitals!
